About the Author

Growing up in a Christian home in Auckland, Marian gave her life to Jesus as a child. From then on her desire was to serve the Lord. After working as a laboratory technician, she spent three years at the Bible College of New Zealand. The Lord opened a door for her to do student ministry in East Malaysia, where she established the Teacher’s Christian Fellowship.

This is where she met her husband, William. After their wedding they moved to the Philippines, where they spent three years ministering to university students and nurses, speaking in churches and Bible Schools.

In 1981 they returned to East Malaysia where they spent the next twenty-six years in church planting. When they returned to New Zealand Marian became the pastor of Grace Church in Auckland, where they still live. Following a miraculous recovery from meningitis in 2014, the Holy Spirit prompted her to compile the Bible studies and resources she had written over her forty years as a pastor and missionary.
